Join us for a free CLE webinar on innovative legal strategies for advocates and attorneys to protect the rights of students experiencing homelessness inside and outside the school gates.

This free CLE will explore the importance of eliminating barriers and expanding access to legal services for this vulnerable population, highlight the need for collaborating and coordinating with school officials and other education advocates, and discuss the role attorneys can play in supporting this work.

The program will include policy updates, and will touch on screening for legal needs with respect to access to education, public benefits, housing, transportation, after-school activities, and other school-related matters. It will also discuss the importance of trauma-informed legal services and ways to get involved and engage others through different forms of advocacy, including pro bono support, direct representation, and “Know Your Rights” seminars.
