Human Rights First will be hosting a training for attorneys interested in taking a pro bono asylum case and others interested in learning more about asylum law and procedure. No prior experience in immigration law is necessary. During this training, an immigration judge, an asylum officer, an expert on working with survivors of torture, a Human Rights First social worker, and a Human Rights First attorney will speak on techniques for representing asylum applicants and recent developments in asylum law. A light dinner will also be served.
