Program Overview: Under President Obama's new immigration policy, thousands of young immigrants under age 31 who arrived in the U.S. as children can apply for "deferred action", which provides protection from deportation and permission to work legally. This will be life-changing for these young New Yorkers and we need skilled attorneys to help them apply.

Training topics will include:

  • Risks and benefits of applying for DACA
  • Completing application forms and submitting supporting documents
  • Fees and fee exemptions
  • Clinic intake and exit procedures
