NCBA holds monthly clinics both on and off premises for Sandy Victims. At these clinics, volunteer attorneys offer advice and consultation concerning numerous issues such as insurance, landlord tenant, coops and condos, labor and employment, and a host of other legal issues. Both FEMA and SBA representatives are present at all our Sandy Clinics. As well as these clinics, NCBA offers under the HOPP grant, monthly clinics for Nassau County homeowners facing Mortgage Foreclosure. NCBA has attorneys who are specialists in this area, Bankruptcy and Debtor/ Creditor issues in addition to representatives from housing agencies, and the Department of Finance. At all of the clinics there are representatives from both Nassau/Suffolk Law Services and NYLAG who offer further representation. It should be noted that due to overlap, a Sandy victim facing foreclosure can attend either clinic. Furthermore, NCBA attorneys are present at all mandatory conferences in Nassau County to represent homeowners.

PLEASE NOTE: If you, or any of your attorney members wish to volunteer at our clinics, we could definitely use the assistance. Please contact Gale Berg at gberg@nassaubar.org.
