Podcast 4: A Look at the CFPB: Part I

In this episode of the podcast, we take a look at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which recently celebrated its second anniversary. Here to help us explore this new, unprecedented federal agency is Ira Rheingold, Executive Director and General Counsel of the National Association of Consumer Advocates. Ira shares with us his thoughts on the creation of the CFPB, the actions it has taken so far, and what, we, as consumer advocates can do to ensure that the CFPB is an effective and forceful ally of consumers.

In the next episode of our podcast, we will again be speaking with Ira about the CFPB. But this time we will be focusing on what the agency has, or has not, done so far in the area of debt collection, and what he hopes to see it do in the near future.
