In this episode, we discuss the history and evolving regulation of the debt settlement industry with Dora Galacatos. Dora is a Staff Member at Fordham Law School's Feerick Center for Social Justice. Dora also chairs the Civil Court Committee of the New York City Bar Association, which in conjunction with the Consumer Affairs Committee, drafted a white paper on the debt settlement industry, titled Profiteering from Financial Distress: An Examination of the Debt Settlement Industry.
