The ABA Children's Immigration Law Academy (CILA) welcomes experts from the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) for a half-day virtual training on recent federal litigation developments affecting immigration cases involving unaccompanied children.

This training will provide an overview of key litigation updates, including developments related to the Ms. L. settlement agreement, the Garcia Ramirez litigation, and petitions for review involving unaccompanied children.

Designed for attorneys with experience representing unaccompanied children, the program is best suited for practitioners with a basic to intermediate understanding of federal litigation impacting immigrant youth. Speakers will offer practical guidance, strategic considerations, and practice tips to help attorneys navigate these evolving legal issues in their advocacy on behalf of children and youth.

  • CLE Credit Comments: The ABA will seek 3.00 General CLE credit hours in 60-minute states, and 3.00 General CLE credit hours in 50-minute states. Credit hours are estimated and are subject to each state’s approval and credit rounding rules.
