An essential job of all lawyers is creating professional work product: written work that does not require substantive editing. Lawyers must be able to organize thoughts into cogent and clear written work free of typographical, syntax, and citation errors. So, it is essential that you become a master of the art of self-editing. But editing yourself is very difficult. As the author, you often lack the mental distance necessary to distinguish between what’s on the page and what’s in your head. This program will discuss developing a systematic approach for assessing and editing your own work so that you can find and correct weaknesses and see your work from the reader’s eye.
