Human Trafficking Cases: Working with Law Enforcement from a Victim-Centered Perspective (Free)

Topics:
  • Human Trafficking
  • Immigration

Reporting trafficking to law enforcement and cooperating in an investigation and prosecution can be very stressful for trafficking survivors, but can help them obtain justice and may be a requirement for accessing immigration status.

This panel discussion will cover best practices for approaching law enforcement agencies and advocating for trafficking survivors as they prepare to meet with law enforcement. Panelists will also touch on how to provide clients with information about the range of options available, from criminal prosecution to civil litigation to immigration petitions. We will have speakers from both law enforcement and legal services organizations that advocate for trafficking survivors to share their experiences and tips.
