The social justice bar organization's 79th Annual Convention. Founded in 1937 as a racially ethnically integrated alternative to the segregated American Bar Association and to support Supreme Court reform in an era of attacks on the New Deal and worker's rights, the National Lawyers Guild has been an early cutting edge voice for racial justice, civil, women's, worker's and immigrant's rights.
