  • Procedure and practice in immigration court
  • An introduction to claims for relief:
-Special Immigrant Juvenile Status: protection for victims of parental abuse, neglect, or abandonment
-Asylum: protection for victims of persecution
-Other options: T & U Visas, Prosecutorial Discretion
  • Best practices in serving the child client
  • Resources & mentorship for pro bono attorneys

KIND mentors pro bono attorneys throughout the course of the child's case, through strategy discussions, sample documents, role-playing at mock hearings, and other ongoing support. Pro bono cases will be available for placement at or before the training. The deadline to RSVP is COB Friday, April 4th.
