Many organizations active in policy and advocacy are also interested in engaging in educating voters on important election issues and encouraging their communities to vote. Although 501(c)(3) organizations must be careful to remain nonpartisan, there are many activities they can participate in. This training covers the federal tax law rules regarding electoral activities for 501(c)(3)s, including voter registration drives, candidate questionnaires, candidate forums and legislative scorecards.
