The Criminal Justice Caucus and The Criminal Justice Initiative at Columbia University School of Social Work in collaboration with students, faculty and community members from across New York City are hosting Beyond the Bars: Moving Forward, the third annual interdisciplinary criminal justice conference. The goal of the conference is to raise consciousness about current ideas and efforts made toward ending mass incarceration and its consequences. The conference will bring together the community and the university to engage people in moving forward beyond the bars.
