A Panel Discussion: Creating Effective Alliances How Community-Based Providers Can Partner with Probation and Parole to Support Clients with Mental Illness

A large number of people with mental illness in New York City are under some form of community supervision (probation, parole). Effectively serving these individuals in a community mental health setting requires that staff understand the role of probation and parole and the ways in which these entities can help facilitate and support clients' success in the community. The goal of this panel is to help mental health providers better understand the function of community supervision and the potential for collaboration in the service of the client.
