Save the Date!

Please join us on Tuesday, July 16, for a conference to discuss consumer protection issues facing immigrants in the DC metro area. The conference, aimed at attorneys and other advocates working to assist immigrants, will include state, federal, and local government agencies, legal services organizations, non-profits, and others with an interest in the consumer protection issues affecting immigrants in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Topics will include:

• "notario" fraud and how to combat it;
• common scams targeted at immigrants;
• types of fraud that are likely to threaten immigrant communities in the future; and
• ways we can work together to address fraud against immigrants.

This half-day conference will take place at the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Washington Field Office, located at 2675 Prosperity Avenue, Fairfax, VA (one block from the Dunn Loring metro stop on the orange line), beginning at 8:45am.
