Statewide Legal Aid Clinic Offering Free Advice on LGBTQ Issues

"A new statewide legal aid clinic is offering free advice and services to the LGBTQ community.

The nonprofit LGBTQ advocacy organization Equality Ohio opened the clinic this spring, according to Court News Ohio.

It has attorneys based in Franklin and Cuyahoga counties and is looking for more statewide willing to offer their services on topics ranging from family law, adoptions and divorce, discrimination and more, the story said.

“People were very interested in having a list of attorneys across Ohio that were LGBTQ- sensitive so they could find someone safe within their home community,” said Maya Simek, managing legal director of the clinic..."
