Nonprofit, LU law school partner on legal clinic for clients in need

 

"A new partnership between Virginia Legal Aid Society and the Liberty University School of Law aims to serve underprivileged clients and develop law students nearing the completion of their degrees.

In development since early 2016, a law clinic for four LU students offered through VLAS became a reality this fall. Through the clinic, LU students have a chance to practice law in the courtroom, work hands-on with clients and gain valuable experience working under the supervision of VLAS.

The four students — Christina Wright, Johnna Chick, Taylor Noonan and Aaron Minguez — are in their third year of law school and are certified to practice law with courtroom supervision. Students can practice independently after graduation and passing the bar exam..."
