Equal justice at risk

"An independent, nonprofit corporation founded in 1974 with bipartisan Congressional support and signed into law by President Nixon, Legal Services Corporation expands access to justice by providing financial support to organizations that deliver civil legal aid to low-income Americans.   

This essential service, however, is now under threat of termination.

President Trump’s 2018 budget proposal calls for eliminating LSC.

Eliminating LSC would leave some of the nation’s most vulnerable citizens with little legal recourse when facing threats to their security and well-being."
