Lawyers urge feds to stop arresting immigrants at courthouses
A group of nearly 300 Michigan attorneys and 20 legal organizations is calling on Immigration and Customs Enforcement to stop arresting people in or near courthouses.
ICE says it only takes people into custody at courthouses as a last resort.
But the American Civil Liberties Union argues that ICE arrests at courthouses hinder immigrants' access and faith in the justice system.
