New online resource and tool helps veterans appeal denial of benefits

"Veterans looking to appeal denials of benefits will have a new tool in their arsenal.

A Friday post from Robert Ambrogi of LawSites that the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program and Pro Bono Net have launched a site to serve as an automated interview process and form generator to help veterans who have been denied benefits from the Board of Veterans Appeals....

...Mark O’Brien, executive director of Pro Bono Net, added that the collaboration represented an “ideal use of online tools and expertise to support a truly national network of volunteers to serve veterans across the country.”

According to Ambrogi, the site uses the same technology platform as Pro Bono Net and contains intake and forms-completion process tools built by Neota Logic and Just-Tech. The site also contains resources for volunteer attorneys and matches inexperienced lawyers with mentors to learn the appellate process for denial of benefits...
