"New Yorkers will have the opportunity Saturday to clear a variety of open summons warrants.

Manhattan prosecutors, the New York City Police Department and the Legal Aid Society are teaming up with the state court system to hold the event at the Grand Street Settlement in the Lower East Side.

The event, "Clean Slate," applies to warrants for offenses like disorderly conduct, public drinking, public urination, littering and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Apart from clearing the warrant, the summons itself can be adjudicated at the event without fines or other penalties."
