"LOS ANGELES —Mayor Eric Garcetti today announced a new program with the Los Angeles Public Library to support immigrant Angelenos on their journey to become American Citizens. Citizenshipworks, a website and mobile app, guides lawful permanent residents step-by-step through their naturalization applications.

The new pilot program is part of the Mayor’s Step Forward LA initiative — which focuses on encouraging and engaging the more than 350,000 legal permanent resident immigrants in Los Angeles to take the necessary steps to become U.S. citizens."
