October is New Mexico Pro Bono Month. This is a month in which the legal community works together to provide free legal services to New Mexicans who cannot afford a lawyer.

The American Bar Association has dedicated a week in October to the “National Celebration of Pro Bono.”

The need in New Mexico for free legal services, however, is so great that a week is too little.
