NM courts work on Native language training system (NM)

SANTA FE, N.M. —Ten percent of New Mexico’s population is Native American, and many of them were born speaking their native language. That’s why the state's Office of the Courts is working on a new training program for interpreters, not just for accused criminals, but jurors as well.

The training will be for Navajo and five Pueblo languages.
