E-filing and remote services will be among the topics addressed by Pro Bono Net staff during workshops at the National Legal Aid & Defender Association’s Annual Conference, taking place Dec. 5-8 in Chicago.

With courts increasingly turning to technology to address growing caseloads in an era of decreasing budgets, e-filing is a noteworthy topic. Mark O'Brien will join speakers from the Legal Services Corporation, Central Minnesota Legal Services and the Self-Represented Litigation Network on Thursday afternoon to discuss e-filing best practices as developed in cooperation with courts and technology experts, including fee waivers, access points and document assembly integration.
