Thursday, October 11, 2012

In celebration of National Pro Bono Week, the LA Law Library presents a series of professional and social events to honor the attorneys, judges, pro bono providers, community leaders, librarians and volunteers who donate their time and energy to those in need of legal assistance.

The celebration begins on Thursday evening, Oct 18 (5:30-7:30) with an opening reception celebrating both Pro Bono Week and the LA Law Library’s recently renovated building and front plaza.

Between Monday and Friday, October 22 – 26, the Law Library hosts educational programs focused on consumer law, family law, immigration and the ethics of pro bono assistance.

“We are proud to host our first annual Pro Bono Week celebration. It has been a pleasure to work in partnership with leading legal organizations throughout Los Angeles County to develop this week’s events,” said Marcia Koslov, executive director, LA Law Library. “This is a small token of appreciation for each and every individual who graciously donates their time, energy and legal expertise to our community.”
