Ask-A-Lawyer Day Coming to Hancock County, Georgia

Macon, Georgia/Augusta, Georgia- The Macon and Augusta Regional Offices of Georgia Legal Services Program along with the Hancock County Community Collaborative are hosting a free “Ask-a-Lawyer Day” Consumer Law Clinic on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Hancock County Board of Education Administration Building (Parent Involvement Room) in Sparta, GA from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Private attorneys who specialize in the area of consumer law will volunteer their time to provide free one-on-one legal advice on topics such as defending yourself in lawsuits from creditors, unfair and deceptive collection practices, and wage & bank account garnishments.
This project is aimed at providing legal help and information to low-income individuals and seniors in the Hancock County area.
