NLSA Seeks Administrative Volunteers for Protection From Abuse Program

Monday, July 30, 2012

Neighborhood Legal Services Association in Pittsburgh is seeking several administrative volunteers to assist with the operation of their Protection from Abuse Representation Program. Follow the link for more information.

Due to significant reductions in government funding, NLSA's staffing was reduced by 11 employees including 4 support positions in the Pittsburgh office.  NLSA remains committed to providing representation to survivors of domestic violence in Protections from Abuse proceedings but needs volunteer support to assist clients at the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Court House - Family Division which is located at 200 Ross Street in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Volunteer shifts are Monday through Friday between 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM.

NLSA will provide training on the work that needs to be done (basically this involves helping victims fill out applications for assistance) and develop a schedule of who would be on site each day throughout the year.

Additional information is provided in the attached communication  from Pamela Dalton-Arlotti, NLSA's Director of Program Performance & Compliance.

Interested Volunteers and those interested in more information should contact:
