Summer Associates Help Low-Income Tenants Facing Housing Trouble

Thank You to NYC Firms Enabling Summer Associates to Help Low-Income Tenants Facing Housing Trouble through the Housing Court Summer Assistance Project.

The Housing Court Summer Assistance Project is sponsored by The City Bar Justice Center, the New York City Bar's Housing Court Public Service Committee, and the Civil Courts of the City of New York. Participants spend a week in either the Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx or Manhattan Housing Courts and provide assistance to tenants with Orders to Show Cause and provide general information to Housing Court litigants. The program is intended to help sensitize participants to the legal needs of the indigent and introduce them to the satisfaction gained from pro bono service.

Throughout this summer, the following firms have summer associates participating in the Housing Court Summer Assistance Project - Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, Wilkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, Fulbright & Jaworski LLP, Winston & Strawn LLP, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, Pfizer Inc, White & Case, Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, Linklaters, and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
