Disability Rights North Carolina

Disability Rights North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Raleigh. Its team of attorneys, advocates, paralegals and support staff provide advocacy and legal services at no charge for people with disabilities across North Carolina.  As the state‚Äôs federally mandated protection and advocacy system, Disability Rights North Carolina is charged with protecting the rights of children and adults with disabilities living in North Carolina.

In April 2011, Disability Rights NC launched its Pro Bono Program with a CLE training on the topics of Medicaid Appeals and Guardianship - Restoration of Competency. Disability Rights NC receives calls every day from people with disabilities seeking assistance. Disability Rights is working to develop a group of volunteer attorneys who can provide legal services for callers when they cannot provide direct assistance.
