Many resources are available to help volunteers. Attorney volunteers may register for CLE-accredited lunch-hour online trainings in the areas of law most needed by the low-income community. The trainings are recorded, and unless CLE credits are needed, the recordings may be viewed by volunteers at their convenience. The North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center’s website, ncprobono.org, contains a wealth of material on pro bono programs and activities in North Carolina. Since 2017, attorneys who meet the aspirational goal of 50 hours of pro bono services in the year and who report their service to the Pro Bono Resource Center are inducted into the annual class of North Carolina’s Pro Bono Honor Society.
