  • Organization: Legal Aid of North Carolina

The Durham office of Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is co-hosting "Legal Aid Day at the Library" on Saturday November 7th, 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Durham County Public Library in downtown Durham.

The event will feature a legal information help desk, a VITA tax booth, signups for library cards and free E-mail accounts.  In addition, a reading corner will be provided for children attending the event, and volunteers will read stories to the children.

Each child will be given at least one book to take home. Project coordinators are seeking donations of children's books to share at this event. Book donations are being solicited from the local community and local merchants are generously serving as donation drop locations. More books are still needed.

Children's books donations will be accepted at the LANC-Durham Office through November 6th.   For more information, contact Willette Crews at 919-688-6396, ext. 434.
