National Training on the Immigration Consequences of Criminal Convictions

The Supreme Court's recent decision in Padilla v. Kentucky makes clear that the Sixth Amendment
requires every criminal defense lawyer to affirmatively advise clients of the immigration/deportation

two-day, tuition-free national training will provide defenders with the tools necessary to comply with
Padilla, strategies to mitigate immigration consequences and methods to institutionalize Padilla advisal
in your defender office.
