Project Coordinator

Pro Bono Net, a national nonprofit organization, seeks a highly qualified candidate to join our team as Project Coordinator. This position will support the development and implementation of initiatives and partnerships that help low income and vulnerable individuals find solutions to their legal problems. These initiatives include programs to expand civil legal assistance for victims of crime, the elderly and other underserved communities, and that strengthen collaboration within the civil justice sector.
This position requires a passion for our mission, paired with strong project coordination, technology, communications and partner engagement skills. This full-time position is based in New York City, with a generous benefits package, including 4 weeks of paid vacation. Position Responsibilities
Strategic Initiatives Coordination and Support (Approximately 50%)
- Support the coordination and implementation of initiatives that leverage technology and online resources to expand access to legal assistance, including cutting-edge projects to develop an online Crime Victim Legal Network and to expand assistance on elder justice issues
- Assist with creating business requirements based on input from internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate internal and external testing of new features, and document and share testing feedback to inform new feature development
- Create user guides and documentation to enable effective adoption of new tools
- Provide training and implementation support to project partners on new online tools
- Track project milestones and deliverables, and communicate information about project updates to internal and external stakeholders
Pro Bono Project Coordination and Support (Approximately 50%)
- Provide project support for key online substantive law practice areas of probono.net/ny, including content administration and managing e-communication vehicles
- Help cultivate and sustain partner relationships through check-ins, project support and trainings
- Support outreach and marketing efforts for probono.net/ny
- Assist with developing and implementing road maps for new technology-focused initiatives that support and mobilize justice networks
- Assist with data analysis and preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a communications, public policy or a technology-related field
- 2-3 years relevant internship/work experience
- Strong project management experience
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), particularly the ability to make technology accessible to people without a technical background
- A high level of comfort with technology and excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with website content management
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
- Strong self-motivation, with ability to thrive and be resourceful in a dynamic environment with new challenges to solve
- Ability to work well with others and collaborate on team projects involving on-site and remote collaborators
- A demonstrated interest in the nonprofit, social justice or access to justice sectors a plus
