We have extended our nomination deadline until September 8th to give an opporutnity to public defense offices from across the country to attend this exceptional training.  The attendance is by nomination only; so we encourage you to nominate yourself and/or someone else from your office today!  

 

This national training is intended to assist public defense attorneys in investigating and advising noncitizen clients on the potential penal law and immigration consequences of a criminal case.  The training curriculum is designed to provide both newly admitted and experienced defense attorneys with the tools, resources and strategies necessary to avoid any negative impact that a criminal disposition may impose on a noncitizen's immigration status.   


Scholarship assistance is available based on need and evaluated on a case by case basis to confirmed attendees.  This CLE program offers: 

  • Free tuition
  • Develop office protocols that integrate immigration expertise
  • Provide pertinent training, resources, legal support and network necessary to ensure quality criminal defense services

Hotel reservations can be made thru September 8, 2008 at the conference rate of $201 excluding taxes. The special negotiated room rate is available two days prior and two days after the Conference. After the cut-off date of September 8, 2008, requests for reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.  Be sure to inform the reservations agent that you are with the NLADA conference.
