Who : The summit is presented by the Louisiana Access to Justice Commission and the Louisiana District Judges Association. All state judges, clerks of court, judicial administrators, law clerks, legal aid and local bar organizations, and other "Access
to Justice Partners," including pro bono advocates and attorneys, are invited to attend.

What : Sessions will provide resources and direct assistance to courts and organizations serving self-represented litigants. This includes a review of
best practices, materials, training resources, new technologies, form templates, and much more.

Where : Jackson Barracks (6400 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans, LA 70117)

When : Friday January 31, 2020 10 -3.30pm (lunch provided)

Why : Self-represented litigants appear in every municipal and district court in Louisiana. Serving these people without providing advice can be tricky
for court staff. Similarly, an increasing number of people are confused after purchasing invalid forms online or from a local notary. This summit will
display the innovative programming currently in place in Louisiana to assist the public, delve into common hurdles faced by these programs,
highlight the many free and reliable resources available to courts and the public, and improve coordination and communication among local and statewide service providers.
