Judge Scott Crichton and the SBA CLE Committee have an outstanding program planned. Making a debut appearance this year is Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne, who I anticipate will both entertain us and satisfy our Professionalism requirement. Also premiering this year will be legislators Jeff Thompson, Alan Seabaugh, Richard Gallot and Patrick Jefferson, who will report on the busy legislative year, the new laws that impact our lives as well as what challenges lie ahead for the next session.

Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal Judge Carl Stewart will be delivering his 13th United States Supreme Court update for our annual seminar, and U.S. District Judge Elizabeth "Beth" Foote and Retired 9th Judicial District Court District Judge Ross Foote will brief us on federal procedure and evidence developments.

There will be a fascinating program on social media and e-discovery as well as recent developments on all of the core subjects taught by an accomplished faculty of judges and lawyers. In addition, you will also have a valuable opportunity for fellowship with fellow colleagues.

You can find out more information or register online via the link below or by telephone at 222-3643 (consider registering before the fee increase later this month!)

Please join me and be a part of what we believe will be the best Shreveport Bar Association seminar ever!

  • CLE Credit Comments: 12.5 Louisiana CLE credit (including ethics & professionalism). 12.5 Texas Board of Legal Specialization CLE credit approved.
