Philadelphia VIP

Philadelphia VIP provides civil legal representation to victims of domestic violence in various areas of law. VIP clients live at the 200% level of poverty or lower. VIP does not conduct initial client interviews. Legal service agencies such as Women Against Abuse Legal Center, Philadelphia Legal Assistance and Community Legal Services, Inc initially evaluate the client's case then refer appropriate cases to VIP. We match our clients with volunteer attorneys for advice and/or representation. VIP utilizes the skills and knowledge of experienced attorneys to train and mentor new volunteers or those that practice in other areas of law. We offer CLE training throughout the year on subjects involving domestic violence ranging from family to housing law.

Philadelphia VIP provides training materials and other legal information, some of which is posted on our web site, for the benefit of volunteer attorneys, and as a resource for individuals, non-profits and small business.
