Between Friends Court Advocacy Program

Between Friends' comprehensive services address the various needs of domestic violence victims and their children, as well as the community at large. Friends is committed to empowering survivors to better their lives, as well as breaking the cycle of domestic violence. Between Friends' Court Advocacy Program provides bilingual Spanish/English legal assistance to domestic violence victims in Cook County District One (Chicago) and District Three (Rolling Meadows) Courthouses. Our Court Advocates help victims in securing Orders of Protection from their abuser, do safety planning, and provide support through the legal process. We provide two free legal clinics per month, one on Chicago's north side and one in Rolling Meadows, which connect domestic violence victims to volunteer attorneys.
