The Office of the State Appellate Defender, Post Conviction Unit, is currently accepting applications for the position of Chief (Supervising) Investigator. The Post Conviction Unit represents inmates in post-conviction proceedings in capital and non-capital cases throughout the State of Illinois. In addition to carrying his or her own a caseload, the Chief Investigator supervises the work of the other two investigators.

Additional staff include six attorneys, one social worker and three secretaries.

Starting date is January 16, 2006. Salary is based on relevant experience.
