Details:

· The Georgia Resource Center is a non-profit law office with a national reputation for innovative, spirited and unrelenting representation of its death-sentenced clients.

· The Center is responsible for ensuring that Georgia's indigent death row inmates are

adequately represented in state and federal post-conviction proceedings.

· The Center is looking for a committed, open-minded and bright attorney eager to join an important team effort.

Qualifications:

·Member of the Georgia Bar or willing to seek admission at the earliest opportunity

·Excellent writing and research skills

·Excellent people skills required

·Understanding of mental health and mental retardation issues and protocol

·Experience in criminal litigation or capital post-conviction litigation preferred

Duties:

·Undertaking all aspects of habeas corpus litigation including research, drafting pleadings, investigation and in-court appearances

·Provide legal and investigative assistance to pro bono attorneys

·Preparation of expert witnesses

Salary Range:

Negotiable based upon experience
