For those who have wanted to take victim outreach training or for those who want a refresher, the University of Texas School of Social Work - and specifically its Institute for Restorative Justice and Restorative Dialogue - is offering free online Defense-Initiated Victim Outreach (DIVO) training.**

To participate, go to www.irjrd.org. In the navigation bar at the top of the page, click on "CLE Course" and be sure to claim your credit after watching the video.  The course is approved by the State Bar of Texas for three hours of CLE credit, including 0.5 hours of Ethics credit.

**Note: This is a 3 hour course for Texas lawyers' for CLE credit, not to be confused with the week-long intensive training to prepare folks to do victim outreach. The Texas project conducts a week long training to prepare folks to do victim outreach in Texas cases. Those interested in doing victim outreach in federal cases, whether at the trial or habeas level, will need to attend the national training.
