JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

The Public Interest Litigation Clinic is still seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director to organize and oversee activities of PILC in the pursuit of its mission to provide high quality legal services to indigent persons facing the death penalty. The Executive Director is responsible for hiring, supervising and training legal and support staff, representing clients in capital litigation, producing capital training events and materials, and engaging in other activities that improve the quality of representation available to indigent prisoners. Candidates must have substantial training and experience in the litigation of capital cases which reflects familiarity and compliance with the American Bar Association Guidelines for the Appointment and Performance of Counsel in Capital Cases. In addition, candidates must possess the skills necessary to effectively lead a capital litigation team and administer an office dedicated to the representation of condemned prisoners.
