Reprieve is holding an open competition for at least one Reprieve Fellowship in 2006. The Reprieve Fellowships are awards that enable outstanding individuals with a proven committment to capital defense work to initiate a project or take up a position in a not-for-profit host organization in the United States or the Caribbean working on behalf of poor people facing the death penalty. Applications are due on October 16, 2006, and successful candidates will start work between 1 January 2007 and 1 September 2007.
