Topics:
  • Family / DV

At the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project, we provide in-depth training, supervision, mentorship, an online resource library, and much more to attorneys so they can be a voice in court for domestic violence victims.

This training will prepare you to represent domestic violence victims in custody and divorce cases, so they can find long-term safety from abuse and rebuild their lives.

Family law cases present an excellent opportunity to learn a full range of litigation skills, including discovery, motions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation, while building a meaningful relationship with your client, over 6-12 months.

DC bar membership is not required to volunteer. To learn more, or to RSVP, please email eplaterzyberk@dcvlp.org.
