Please join us for a webinar on petitioning for adopted children and the new USCIS policy concerning Hague Convention adoption cases. The new USCIS policy memo, released on December 23, 2013, provides guidance to adjudicators interpreting the "habitual residence" of children subject to the restrictions of the Hague Convention. The webinar will discuss the rules related to adoption petitions and the Hague Convention requirements in light of the December 2013 memo. The presenters will be Kristina Karpinski, CLINIC Senior Attorney, Jessica Gordon, an attorney specializing in adoption at Steffas & Associates, P.C., and Debbie Smith, CLINIC Senior Attorney.
