Probate Resource Center Volunteer Training

Topics:
  • Wills / Estates

The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program's Probate Resource Center provides information and brief legal services to unrepresented parties or potential parties in the Probate Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The training will introduce lawyers admitted to practice in D.C. with basic estate administration practices and procedures.

Trainees then will volunteer at the Probate Resource Center for at least 4 sessions, under the supervision of experienced probate lawyers. This is a great and manageable pro bono opportunity for lawyers to learn and practice estate law in a very supportive environment. The Resource Center is located in Building A of D.C. Superior Court, Room 319. No particular expertise is required.

*Malpractice coverage is provided to all volunteers by the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program.
