University Legal Services, the D.C. Protection and Advocacy program for individuals with disabilities, is pleased to announce our Protecting the Rights of Patients at St. Elizabeth Hospital training on Thursday, December 13 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This training provides volunteer attorneys with an opportunity to advocate for consumers with mental health issues at St. Elizabeths Hospital, and to provide direct pro bono legal services to isolated individuals whose rights may be violated in this institutional setting, by advocating on their behalf or by filing grievances. No particular expertise is required.

Lunch is provided.

We greatly appreciate the law office of Keller and Heckman for hosting this training.

If you are interested in attending, please e-mail Andrea Procaccino for more details about the event.
