Please join the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center for the third event in our five-part Public Benefits Training Series: Eligibility for Public Health Insurance in D.C. This series is sponsored by the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, Legal Counsel for the Elderly, Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, and Whitman-Walker Health.

This training will feature a pre-recorded training on Eligibility for Public Health Insurance and a live webinar to discuss the impact of COVID-19. Prior to the webinar, registrants will receive the training video and materials.

In the pre-recorded training, Erin Loubier (Whitman-Walker Health) and Jennifer Mezey (Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia) provide an overview of who is eligible for and how to keep public health insurance (Medicare/QMB, Medicaid, D.C. Healthcare Alliance, and financial assistance for individual/family plan options on D.C. Health Link-D.C.’s state health insurance exchange). In addition to learning about eligibility and practical tips on applying and re-certifying, Erin and Jennifer will also share common situations consumers face and practice tips to resolve them.

During the live webinar on October 20th, Erin and Jennifer will discuss the impact of COVID-19 and answer questions from attendees.
