American University Washington College of Law's Economic Justice Program, http://economicjusticeprogram.com/, is hosting a poverty law conference on March 23-24, 2018 at the law school (4300 Nebraska Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20016). The conference theme is "Poverty States: Federalism, Rights, and State Anti-Poverty Efforts" and speakers include poverty law professors from across the country. The keynote speakers are Professor Francis Fox Piven and Mark Bergel, the founder of A Wider Circle. The registration page can be found here: https://www.wcl.american.edu/news-events/events/detail/6024/. The conference program will eventually be posted to the poverty law blog, https://maximinlaw.wordpress.com/, and the EJP's website, but an updated draft program is available if you email erosser@wcl.american.edu. For most conferences held at the school there is the possibility of getting CLE hours but confirmation and questions about that should be directed to Jennifer Dabson in the school's office of Special Events and CLE, 202-274-4075 or secle@wcl.american.edu.
